Due to the affects of Florence, the church will be closed on Monday, September 17th.

Welcome to Harrison Kids!

Our ministry exists to EDUCATE, ENGAGE, and EQUIP children and families to be loving disciples of Jesus Christ!  It is our goal to provide a welcoming, inclusive program that encourages children to grow spiritually, and develop meaningful connections with each other and with adults.

A typical Sunday morning for families with children

We are dedicated to building community, and we encourage families to worship together here at Harrison Church!  We want you to know, ALL are welcome in our worship services, so please don’t hesitate to bring your little ones to worship with you.  Other opportunities for children are listed below!

  • Nursery (infants & toddlers)
Nursery is available during the 8:30AM, 9:45AM and 11:00AM services in building 200.  We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for your little ones.  For this reason, our nurseries are staffed with paid childcare providers who are CPR certified, and we maintain ratios in accordance with our Safe Sanctuary Policy.
  • Sunday School and Kids’ Worship
    • Twos and Threes
Preschool Sunday School for 2 and 3 year olds is available at 9:45AM and 11:00AM in building 200. Sunday School teachers are trained volunteers with background checks.
    • Preschool (4 & 5 year olds)
Preschool Sunday School for 4 and 5 year olds is available at 9:45AM and 11:00AM in building 200. Sunday School teachers are trained volunteers with background checks.
    • Elementary (Kindergarten through 5th grade)
Elementary kids attend a combination worship & Sunday school class at 11AM in the Multipurpose Room upstairs in building 100.  Kids begin with 30 minutes of “kid style” worship, complete with music, games, and traditional components of worship, meant to prepare them to feel comfortable in traditional services when they get older.  After worship time, they divide into Sunday School groups by age, and move to a Sunday School room. We use a rotational model for our Sunday School program, so the kids spend an entire month diving deep into each bible story, with different activities each week, including science, art, drama, and cooking! All teachers are trained volunteers with background checks.
