Welcome to Harrison Church CHILDREN’S MINISTRY!

Our ministry exists to EDUCATE, ENGAGE, and EQUIP children and families to be loving disciples of Jesus Christ!  It is our goal to provide a welcoming, inclusive program that encourages children to grow spiritually, and develop meaningful connections with each other and with adults.

The inkWELL service is worship “kid style” for the purpose of preparing children to attend “Big Church.” It’s complete with singing, teaching, videos, special activities, and more! We teach the kids familiar worship songs, the Lord’s Prayer, Apostle’s Creed and more! So come dive in with us each Sunday at 11am upstairs in the Multipurpose Room. Doors open at 10:45am for sign-in, and parents—you are welcome anytime to join us for this experience!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can nursery staff mix baby formula?

No. Please premix your baby’s formula and our staff will be more than happy to give your baby a bottle. We do have a refrigerator in our infant nursery.

What if my child cries while in your care?

If a child continues to cry for 15 minutes and cannot be consoled, then a parent will be sent a text on their phone.

What if my child is potty training?

Our staff is very willing to help and cooperate with your potty training strategy. We ask that parents please a) provide a change of clothes and extra underwear or pullups b) communicate to the staff that their child is potty training by indicating so during check-in c) be willing to return to the room, if necessary, to help your child use the potty.

My child has a latex allergy, do you use latex free items?

Yes! We use latex free gloves when changing diapers and latex free bandaids in our first aid kits.

When is my child promoted to the next nursery/class?

Children are promoted to the next age class at the end of the school year. During the year, early walkers could be promoted in order to make room for newborns joining the nursery. Three year olds are promoted to Sunday School only when they are potty trained.

Will snacks be offered to my child?

Our Sunday School teachers sometimes bring treats for the kids!  In this case, they will post a sign outside their classroom door with the list of snacks to be served.  Please let your child’s Sunday School Teachers know of any food allergies.

Are your volunteers background checked?

Yes! All of our volunteers undergo a background check before they begin serving and every 3 years thereafter. For a complete copy of our Safe Sanctuary policy please click here.
