Hurricane Harvey hit the Gulf Coast of the U.S. August 26 affecting millions of people with multiple days of heavy rain, winds, and rising tides. The United Methodist Church is actively present, working with local and state emergency management, FEMA, and other volunteers active in disaster. The Western North Carolina Committee on Relief encourages you to:

Financial Support: We invite you to stand with our neighbors on the Gulf Coast during this time. Your gifts ensure that our church will be able to provide help and hope for those left homeless or otherwise affected by this disaster for years to come.

Make a check payable to Western North Carolina Conference, writing “UMCOR Advance 901670” in the memo line and drop it in the Sunday offering plate.

Or follow this link and give directly online: https://wnc-reg.brtapp.com/CORDonations01

Other Donations: Harrison Church will be a drop off point for Flood Buckets (cleaning kits) and Hygiene Kits.

You can drop off your donation at the church during regular office hours (Mon – Thurs 9 to 5) or bring it with you on Sunday morning.
