Men’s Ministry is collectively, all men at Harrison who seek to reach, teach and serve in the name of Jesus Christ. The mission of the group is to foster an atmosphere in which every man has the opportunity to grow in his personal relationship with Christ and form meaningful relationships with other men of the Church.
The Ministry reaches out to the men throughout the year with events like the annual winter retreat, golf outing, spring BBQ and various social events like Monday Night Football, bowling, baseball outings, etc.
Teaching occurs through small group offerings throughout the year. These have included Men’s Disciple Bible Study, Man in the Mirror, Tender Warrior, Busness By the Book, Wild at Heart and others.
Serving Christ through Men’s Ministry is made up of handyman work through the Harrison Outreach Team; financially by giving to missions, youth and others in need; hosting a night in the Room In the Inn ministry; and serving breakfast monthly at the Men’s Rescue Mission.
The Men’s Ministry serves as an opening for many men to become involved in the Harrison family. For some it is a friendly, non-threatining way to get to know others. For most men the ministry provides an opportunity to use the spiritual gifts God has given them to serve His Kingdom.
Men’s Breakfast is held every month on the 3rd Sunday at 8am in Building 100, Room 101.
The Men’s Ministry Council meets on the 3rd Sunday at 6 pm in Building 100, Room 115.
