At Harrison Church we encourage people to Worship + 2. What is Worship + 2?
It is about you! It is our invitation for you to put yourself where God can touch your heart:
WORSHIP with us on Sundays.
SERVICE: The Bible tells us that “each one should use the gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10). Select one of the many options offered by the ministries at Harrison and grow by being a blessing to others.
STUDY: Grow spiritually by being a part of one of the study groups or life groups that are made available through our Spiritual Growth ministry. The Bible instructs us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). “If you make my word your home you will indeed be my disciples” (John 8:31).
We are getting ready to offer the Summer 2012 Bible Study groups which will start in June 2012, below is a list of the proposed classes- also check out the Sunday School groups listed under Adult Sunday School. To register for any of these groups or for more information, please contact Anita King at 704-541-3463, ext. 213 or anita.king@harrisonumc.org. We will post more details on each of these classes in May.
Christianity and World Religions – Thursdays starting June 7th.
Courageous – Study for men, starting after the showing of the “Courageous” Movie on May 18th. Day and time to be determined.
Crown – Sundays, starting June 17 from 4 to 6 pm. Introduction on June 3rd.
Discerning the Voice of God – Tuesdays 7 – 9 pm, starting June 5
Dynamic Marriage – Sundays, starting June 24 from 4 to 6 pm. Orientation will be on Sunday, June 3 from 3 to 4 pm and Tuesday, June 5 from 7 to 8 pm.
Grace Life Conference for Women – August 4 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Introduction to the Bible – Sundays, 11 am
James – Mercy Triumphs (Beth Moore) – Wednesdays 7 – 9 pm, starting June 13
Lazarus Awakening – Wednesdays 10 am – 12 noon, starting June 6.
