Anita King

Director of Program Ministries

Anita seeks to provide leadership and support for the mission of Harrison UMC by developing effective processes to ensure everyone is invited, encouraged and provided the opportunity to participate in worship, spiritual growth, service to others and Christian fellowship. She uses her spiritual gifts of craftsmanship, administration, serving and mercy in many ways in her role.

“I definitely use the gift of administration for my role in connecting adults to discipleship and ministry opportunities. My gifts of Serving and Mercy come into play with the Hospitality ministry.  I am also a certified Stephen Minister, which uses my gift of Mercy. I enjoy crafts and use them to enhance my work in Communications and Women’s Ministry.”

She was called to serve at Harrison UMC in 2006 and will continue to serve until called elsewhere.

Her heart is to help people find their place in ministry – be it at church, home or in the workplace – using their God-given gifts and talents.
