Harrison Church is happy to provide childcare to our members and guests attending a small group study, meeting or church-wide event on campus. We do not provide childcare for social events.* We ask that you be a considerate steward of time and resources by following the guidelines below.

Per the Harrison Church Safe Sanctuary Policy, we schedule a minimum of two sitters for every small group/meeting/event. The number of sitters required will vary depending on the number and ages of the children. Please note that every effort will be made to accommodate all children for every meeting/event. However, since there is a finite number of sitters available, there may be a need to set limits for a group. It is the responsibility of the group/event leader to work with the Childcare Coordinator to make sure that the correct number of sitters can be obtained for a small group/meeting/event to remain in accordance with our Safe Sanctuary Policy.

Childcare will be provided for small group studies, meetings and church wide events when requested through the proper online form at least two weeks prior to the meeting/event. The childcare request form is found on the Children’s Ministry page of the Harrison Church website.

It is the responsibility of the parent to notify their small group leader at least 24 hours in advance when they no longer need childcare, either for a particular day or for the remainder of the study.

It is the responsibility of the small group leader to notify both the Director of Children’s Ministry and Childcare Coordinator by email when schedules change and/or there is no longer a need for childcare, either for a particular day of for the remainder of the small group. Our sitters are paid for a minimum of one hour in the event that no children attend so it is important to communicate when the need changes.

Snacks may be provided for children while in childcare. If your event occurs over breakfast, lunch or dinner, please provide food for the children and, with concern for food allergies, please let the parents know what will be served.

*Groups/events other than Harrison Church small group studies, and church-wide events that need childcare are required to use trained/qualified Harrison sitters. The group/event leader is responsible for following the Safe Sanctuary policy, and for paying for the sitters.
