Backpack Ministry Needs Help!
Are you looking for a way to help others during the pandemic? The Backpack Ministry could use your help. We need donations of food bags packed with weekend food for Sterling Elementary students. If you or your family would like to help, please see the directions below. We will have a collection on Saturday, September 19, from 9-10 am at our next Drive-Thru event, OR you can bring your donations to Outdoor or Indoor Worship on September 20. We can use as many bags as you would like to provide to help us meet our 140 bag goal. This would provide 35 students with bags for four weeks. We will schedule future drop off days when we need more bags. Many thanks!!!
Directions for backpack food bags:
Please note this is different from our usual request for food items as we are unable to meet for packing bags as a group.
Each bag should provide breakfasts, lunches & snacks for one child for a weekend. Please purchase the items needed, pack them into individual plastic grocery bags, single tie the bag closed, and bring them to the drop-off. We also ask you to join us in praying for the students and their families.
