Welcome to Harrison Kids!
Our ministry exists to EDUCATE, ENGAGE, and EQUIP children and families to be loving disciples of Jesus Christ! It is our goal to provide a welcoming, inclusive program that encourages children to grow spiritually, and develop meaningful connections with each other and with adults.
Kidz Time – Bible Studies for Children
Sunday Mornings with Kids – (COVID UPDATE: Sunday kid’s programming has been suspended due to the pandemic. We invite you to worship with your children on Sunday mornings during this time. Click Here to learn more about Harrison Worship services.)
We are dedicated to building community, and we encourage families to worship together here at Harrison Church! We want you to know, ALL are welcome in our worship services, so please don’t hesitate to bring your little ones to worship with you. We also offer Nursery during all services, Sunday School for toddlers and preschoolers at 9:45 & 11:00, and a combination Kids’ Worship and Sunday School for elementary kids at 11:00. Our elementary Sunday School program is like no other, where kids get to study the Word in a fun and interactive way, through drama, cooking, science, art, and games!
Family Events
We have several FUN, family-friendly events throughout the year that are open to the community! These include our Easter Egg Hunt, Family Picnic, Trunk or Treat, and Pajama Pancake Dinner, just to name a few.
Family Camping Trip
Each fall, Harrison families make a trip to the mountains for our annual family camping trip to enjoy God’s creation in the crisp mountain air! It’s a great way to connect with each other and with other families in the church. This trip is open to all ages, and families with or without children!
Summer Camps
Each summer, we offer a one week Vacation Bible School and Fine Arts Camp for children in our community, where kids get to learn about God’s love for them!
Support for Parents
We are committed to helping equip parents to raise little disciples! We have a moms’ group called Grace-Filled Moms that meets every Thursday morning on campus for fellowship, support, and spiritual growth. In addition, we offer parenting classes and Bible studies throughout the year, and provide free childcare for nearly all events and classes. We also know that sometimes parents need a break to recharge, so we offer a Date Night Bible Study in the summer, and a Parents’ Night Out in the winter.
Safety
Safety of children is of highest importance at Harrison Church, and for this reason we follow a strict Safe Sanctuary Policy. This policy requires background checks for volunteers and certain student-teacher ratios based on age. If you’d like to read our policy in its entirety, click here!
