God and the Pandemic | Thursdays from 7 pm-8:30 pm (October 22nd – November 12th) on Zoom. Led by Jan Zenner & Becky Kelly
What are we supposed to think about the Coronavirus crisis? Is it a sign of the End? Is it a call to repent? Join us for a 4-week study on “God and the Pandemic,” written by one of the world’s foremost New Testament scholars N. T. Wright. Wright examines these reactions to the virus and finds them wanting. Instead, he invites us to consider a different response – one that draws on a careful reading of the Bible, Christian history, and above all on the way of living, thinking, and praying revealed to us by Jesus. We hope you will join us for this discussion group based on a book that promises to shape our faith now and into the post-virus world. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP by October 19th and purchase your book on Amazon or Cokesbury. If you have questions or would like assistance purchasing a book, please email email@example.com.

Understanding Christianity & Methodism | Mondays at 7:00 pm led by Pastor Kyle (Sept 14 – Nov 16)
Are you really a Methodist? Or, even truly Christian? Are you sure? How do you know? Let’s talk about it! Using scripture as our primary source, we will explore what it means to follow Jesus in the tradition of John Wesley’s holiness movement that led to the Methodist Church’s formation. You may find it to be challenging. To support our conversation, Pastor Kyle will draw from the following writings: “An Introduction to Christian Theology” by Justo Gonzalez and Zaida Maldonado Perez, “Recapturing the Wesley’s Vision” by Paul Wesley Chilcote and “Being United Methodist In the Bible Belt” by F. Belton Joyner Jr. The books are recommended but not required. There is no cost for the class. Email email@example.com for info on joining this class.
If you would like assistance purchasing a study guide, please firstname.lastname@example.org, and I will be happy to help you!
