Missions
Making a difference for families along the border, one at a time.
About This Ministry
Since 1994, Faith Ministry has been meeting the basic needs of families along the border of Mexico in the areas of housing, community wellness, education and empowerment, and spiritual growth.
Faith Ministry uses the starfish story as a cornerstone of its work, aiming to make a difference one person at a time.
The Starfish Story
A father and son walked along a shore littered with thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a storm. The son was picking them up and flinging them back into the ocean. “Why do you bother?” the father scoffed. “There are too many; you can’t begin to make a difference.” The son picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back into the water.
“Made a difference to that one,” he said.
